Mr. Weir, who was born in Kirkcaldy, Fifeshire, Scotland, came to Canada at an early age and spent his youth in Gode- 11, `"'wis0e he "attended--flie- Central public school and the Collegiate Institute. After sev- eral years in the business world, he entered' the University of Toronto and graduated with the bachelor of arts degree: This was followed by three years in theology at Knox College. Fol- lowing ordination, he began his ministry in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. Subsequent charges included Hensall,. Hespeler, and Brampton. ' Mr. Weir has served on vari- ous boards of the 'church - baseball and golf. For several years he was coach of a boys team in the Brampton Minor • Baseball Association, Christian education, . Densien, Knox College, and' Armagh. Mrs. Weir is the former Jean Bailey, of Huntsville.
