Thursday as minister of Knox
Presbyterian Church, Stratford.
Rev. H. Wilson, Shakespeare,
moderator of the Presbytery of
Stratford, conducted the ser-
vice.

present from Goderich was a
special guest, Rev. Mr. Weir's
mother, Mrs. P, G. Weir.
Mr. Weir, who was born in
Kirkcaldy, Fifeshire, Scotland,
came to Canada at an early age
and spent his youth in Gode-

Central public school and the
Collegiate Institute. After sev-
eral years in the business world,
he entered' the University of
Toronto and graduated with the
bachelor of arts degree: This
was followed by three years in
theology at Knox College. Fol-
lowing ordination, he began his
ministry in Portage la Prairie,
Manitoba. Subsequent charges
included Hensall,. Hespeler, and
Brampton. '
Mr. Weir has served on vari-
ous boards of the 'church - baseball and golf. For several
years he was coach of a boys
team in the Brampton Minor •
Baseball Association,
Christian education, . Densien,
Knox College, and' Armagh.
The lycir. ,amity includes
Mrs. Weir .and- two children,
Fred,who ins- studying dentistry
at the University of Toronto,
and Joan, who is in grade 12
at the Collegiate Institute. Mrs.
Weir is the former Jean Bailey,
of Huntsville.
Mr. Weir's hobbies include
