The Galt Reporter says : -About a year
ago Frederick Burgess, an apprentice in-
dentured to Mews Macgregor, Gourley &
Co Galt, left the employ of that firm with.
out consent, having only completed two
years and one month of the four years of
his apprenticeship. Sumo then he has
been working in Cleveland, Ohio, until a
few weeks ago, when bo met with an acci-
dent to his foot which has lard him off work
for a time; Not being able to work he
decided to pay a visit to his friends in
Canada. He arrived in Galt Monday night
last and waa immediately recognized, and
on Tuesday was arrested and taken before
Magistrate Spiers and Mayor Lutz, who
gave him 'until next morning to obtain
security ($200, we understand) that he
would complete his apprenticeship or in
default would commtt him to Berlin jail -
for 30 days.
