New Trend For -
Car Accidents
,SO far this year, Huron County
is. fatality free in connection
with car accidents and we look
to the public for co-operation
to continue this record, said Sgt.
H. Barker of the Goderich de--
tachment of the O.P.P.
Sgt. Barker told The Signal -
Star that the area served by the
Goderich OPP office showed li
trend that was common through-
out Ontario. This trend is re-
flected in the number ‘of single
vehicle accidents — mishaps in
which only one car is involved
such as it when it goes off the
road or hits some object. Of
the 25 accidents in this area' in
June, 18 of them were single
vehicle accidents. Police are
baffled by this strange trend. Of
the ,total of 25 accidents only
ten were reportable. In June
there were 65 c
781 vehicles checked and 298
warnings issued.
