MISS MARGARET S. DAA IES
Miss Margaret S. Davies pass-
ed away suddenly in Alexandra
Hospital, Goderich, on Saturday.
A daughter of the late George
Davies and of the ..former Mary
�TaneT -P h-i11-i-ps; -she---Nvas -barn in
Clinton 81 years ago. In 191U
she, went to Seattle, Washington, 1
to attend the Methodist deac-
oness school. For 25 years she
was a deaconess in Chicago,
later serving in Montana. Alter
her retirement in 1943 she lived
in Clinton until moving to Gode-
rich six years ago. She was a
Member of North Street United
Church.
Surviving are one brother
George Newton Davies, anti two
sisters, Misses Bessie and Mae
Davies, all of Goderich.
Rev. W. J. ten Hoopen officiat-
ed at funeral services on Mon-
day afternoon at the Stiles fun-
eral home with interment in
Maitland cemetery. The pall-
bearers were William Marsh,
Mel Bell, Howard Robertson,
Harold Turner, all of Goderich;
Bert Marsh, Auburn, and Orville
Workman, Kippen.

of steel construction. The barn
is to replace -the two barns that
were destroyed by fire last fall.

Saturday.

ing a few days with relatives

Mrs. Ursula Hebert, Mr. and
Mrs. P. E. Murray and son Don-
ald, of Detroit, spent the week-

Leddy-McLeod wedding in St.
Augustine.
Mr. and Mrs. Fergus Dwyer,
of Kinkora, and Joe Dwyer, of
St. Catharines, were recent visit-
ors, with Mr. and Mics. Don
Frayne.
