The original store on Victoria
street was •18 feet wide in con-
trast to the new, one which is
about 65 feet wide, and 55 feet
deep.
The building of the new store
was necessitated by a growing
volume of business and cramp-
ed quarters in the original store.
In 1957, the Cutt family decided
to join the Red and White group,
which is sponsored by. National
Grocers in order to pass on
benefits of co-operative buying.
It was a group of supervisors
from the Red and White chain
who planned the modern lay-
out of the present establishment.
