better for them to drive to other.
t owns" where they have to drive
home, afterwards?
We have been asked to keep
our town quiet and respectable.
We agree to the second part,.
and once again we have a de-
cision to make: Do we like the
rumble of the heavy industrial
trucks that service our local in-
dustries, the boom of the steam-
ship sirens; the fog horn and
diesel train in .and out? All'
''these are signs of a busy thriv-
ing municipality employing large
-numbers of` men and womren.
We must expand orwe decline.
Which is it to 'be? ,
We are in the process of in-
stalling a 'nv water system at
a cost of about $750,000. This is
one provision being made to
accommodate a substantial,, in-
crease in population. Those of
its who live here- now must carry
the burden of increased water
rates. We must have an ex-
pandine economy and an attrac-
tive -policy to encourage new in-
dustry to locate here. The re-
sult of this upcoming vote may
well 'affect our economy for the
next decade.
I believe we can help our -
wives and our town by voting
"Yes" on both- counts on April
19th.°

John E. Huckins.
