Obvionsly, it is period during which some reflection should be done on what has been acoomplished, in this field in the past ; and also thought given to vhat should .be done in the ttutu,re. , The Retarded Children's School at Gloderich, located. in MaoKay Hall, is spon- sored by The Retarded Children's Assoe- , lation of Ooderieh, Clinton .and vicinity. At present it has an attendance of eight children ranging in age front six to 18 years of age.. More are expeeted to enroll in 1961. These children are transported to and from school each sehool day whieh is from 9 to 11.30 a.m. The loeal Association has pointed outi that while the rented room at MacKuy Hall is comfortable and bright its use is handicapped by the fact that at least six other org4nizations use the saine room at 'weekly or monthly intervals. The committee in charge .of this Ret- arded Children's school foresees the day viten the retarded children of Goderich and district...V.1 have to havd' a separate -school ther .Aid also the possibility of seeond, trained tocher ! The committe.e members see, of course, problems 'both now and in the future which the rank and file of the public do not notice. Hence, their enthusiasm for a separati Retarded Child- ren's school to solve the problems Nvhich they visualize on the road ahead.. incidentally, the public is cordially invited to attend any of the school sess- ions in ,\ItteKay Hall and to note the at- inosphere of happiness and the evidence or orogres, whieh is being made. Only in this, way ‘..an they fully comprehend a problem in our midst. ,MUNICIPAL _NOMINATIONS Alunieipal nomination meetings in this area are set for Friday, November juereI,asti.1;tsss-,unexpeetetY,I)e.y,elssiAn.en...ts in the interim, publie iiiteret in them is running low, And this, dekpite the fact that cost of operating munioipalities, like piost things..else, is on tln.‘ upgrade. , For•the past.six years, Colborne TO AV1I- Ehip has been given an acclam- ation.
