ANfD'EIRSON The, remains of Henry Thom- as Anderson;'r; who died in hos- pital at Goderich Sunday after 'a brief illness, was taken'to the W. For 49 years he lived in Weston and Cooksville before coming to Goderich Township recently. His wife, the former Kate Golvin, died in 1949. Surviving are: one son, Leslie, ,Goderich . Township; a daugh- ter, Mrs. Alfred (Edna) Chap- man, Weston; two sisters, Mrs. D. J. Reeds, Wasaga Be ch, and Wt. A :social hour •was enjoyed., Charles Eldred Asquith. •-- A life-long resident of this com- rnun•ity; Charles Eldred Asquith passed away in Clinton hospital on Thursday, Oet-ober 27. _ - He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred .Asquith and was born in 1'85 in Auburn. 1 -Ie was a school teacher for a num- ber of years, and then operated an apple evaporator plant. In Iater years, he had a woodwork: ing shop until ill health forced hirn to retire a year ago. He attended St. Mark's Anglican Church faithfully for many years, being a delegate to the Synod of the Diocese. of Huron. Ile was also vestry clerk of St. Mark's congregation. He was a member of the Carlow Morning Star Lodge. Besides his sorrow- ing wife, the former Amy oughtoi}, he is survived by two sons, Reginald, and C. Harold, and two �iaughters,L' Miss Mary ,, and Mrs. Donald D. (Betty) Oldreive, all of Toronto, and four grandchildren; also a sister, Mrs. F. 0. (Gertrude) Mc- Ilv_eenr of Oshawa. Thr funeral service was ,held -at � St:" Mark's Anglican Church on Sunday, Reto'ber 30, at 2:3t1 p.rn. and was conducted by the Rev. Cobert Meekly, with. interment rt Ball's- cemetery.
