Many people watched their fascinating aerial formations while, others reached for guns and wished they would come closer to the ground, In the intervening time, many thous- ands more have been seen heading south. I Anniversary At St. Helen's Held Lifelong residents of St. Helens, Mr. and Mrs. William Isaac Miller recently celebrated their 501J-1, wedding, anniversary. He was born at Auburn 77 years ago. When he was a year old his family moved to St., Helens where they purchased the general store from Jphn Gordon. Mr. Miller had pre- viously tau;;ht at Auburn. Mrs. 1liller, who was 7'7 in May, was the former Margaret Ruther- ford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Rutherford. - Mr. and Mrs. Miller were mar- ied on • Qetoher 13, 1910 at the h i+de°s-home wast 'o " Telens.' t'or all their married life they resided in St, Helens where Isaac was storekeeper. The gen- eral store at St. Helens is over 100 years old and the Miller name has .been connected with it far. the past 76 years. Isaac Miller's service to the people of St. Helens has been a bye -word for years, and the "shopping and passenger ser- vice” he provided bn his daily trips to Lucknow became tra- ditional,. and was at- one time vera ably recorded in a poem. penned by the late Mrs. Eliza- beth (Rutherford) Balls caption- ed, "Isaac :/filler's Truck."
