rich, recently purchased three
Jersey heifer calves from Thom-
-as E, Moore, of Goderich.
The interest in Jersey cattle
in Huron County seems to be
maintaining its pace, with many
new lots that have come into
the area during the past year,
says the Canadian Jersey Cattle
Club.
The rose family of plants is
one of the largest and it in-
cludes not only the great num-
ber of roses proper, but also the
strawberry, blackberry, rasp-
berry, apple, pear, cherry, plum
and peach—also such weeds as
agrimony ,and cinquefoil.
Two Clinton men were sent to
jail by Magistrate Glenn Hays,
QC,- Wes -day after- they pleaded
guilty to 13 charges of breaking,
entering and theft in Duron
County.
Donald Markle, 28, received
six months definite and three
months indeterminate, and Esis
ward Beseau, 17, 1.0 weeks in
jail for breaking into the"Huck-
ins boathouse at GoderiCh har-
bor where cigarettes and money
were taken. 4-4,?; •
The other offences occurred
in Goderich, Clinton and Blyth
areas.
Kenneth Steep, 21, also of
Clinton, had previously received
two years' suspended sentence
in eannection with the Huckins
breakin.
Markle and Bezeau were ar-
rested in St. Thomas.
Three St. Thomas youths
pleaded guilty to thefts froni
two telephone booths in Gode-
rich' and Saltford and to being in
possession of nOnsebreaking
tools.
Keith Zakar,•18; Gerald Lang,
1•7, and Ronald Hunlbey, 21,
were remanded in 'custody to
Thursday for sentencing.
