The Margaret Seager Club
met in St. George's Parish Hall
on Monday evening with 23.
members present.
The president, Mrs. Jack
Seaman, called for reports from
the secretary, Mrs. J. Stephens.
and the treasurer, Mrs. H. M.
Ford. The results of the July
coffee party and bake sale,. were
most gratifying. Plans were
made for a rummage. sale in
Octobe .and. large bake sale,

After the meeting, the;Mem-
bers were entertained by slides
• and comments of his Eti.ropean
tour by the rector, Dr. K. Tay-
lor. Slides were •shtrwn of Dr,.
and Mrs. Taylor's trip to Italy,
Germany, Denmark, Norway and'
Scotland. They were extremely
interesting and colorful.
Tea was served by . the tea
committee consisting -of Mrs. J.
Hindmarsh, Mrs. W. Prest and
Mrs. J. Murison.

CENTRALIA ON
SATURDAY
Fresh from the C.N.E., the
Golden Hawks -seven precisi•g,n-
perfect pilots -will be taking
part in Air Force Day at the
ROAF, Centralia, on Saturday,
September 17.
Their 20 -minute show includes
LI sequence of loops, rolls, cross-
overs, 'bomibursts, "Cuban -
eights" and "rhubarbs," all of
which are standard manoeuvres
for RCAF fighter pilots but are
carried out in tight, formation
by the Golden Hawks.

BETA SIGMA PHI PLAN
FOR "RUSHING SEASON"
•A large number of Beta Sigma
Phi members attended a meet-
ing to discuss plans for the
coming rushing season. 'It was
held at the home of Martha
Deunsch.
Installation of officers will
take place at the next meeting.
Preparations were made for a
progressive dinner. After a

ed -and -double-checked on. the
ground before the actual flight
is made.
Materials from the -RCAF Sta-
tion, Clinton, will also be on
display at Centralia. The "Red
Knight" Which last year per-
formed• at Air Force Days and
national air shows will appear
again this year at Centralia Sta-
tion on Saturday.
A cordial welcome is extend-
ed to the general public to at-
tend the air show..

The assistant leader, Mrs. Don-

period. Prayer was given by

Scott. The leader, Mrs. Wilfred
Sanderson, told the - story of an.
African boy.
The first Meeting of the Au-
burn 411 Club was held at the
home of the assistant leader,
Mrs. Ed. Davies, with 16 girls
present. The project for this
fall term is "The Club Girl En-
tertains." Election of new of-
ficers resulted as follows: pre-
siden•t, Shirley Brawn; 1st vice-
president, June Baechler; sec-
retary, Bernice McDougall;
press secretary, Margaret San-
derson. The leader, Mrs. Aud-
rey Meehan, explained to the
girls the duties of the girls as
club members. Mrs. Davies' de-
monstrated
evmonnstrated how to arrange a
dining room bosuquet using pink
gladioli. stressing the -import-
ance of a -low container and the
flowers arranged in a low posi-•

TRADING SESSION
The first fall Meeting of the
Goderich to
Club was held
at the home of Mins. A. Deslaur-
:ers, Bennett street, on Tuesday
evening. There was no fixed
program for, the meeting, just
a general talking and trading
session, with . stories told of
rarities obtained and missed.
Plans were wade for the next` ,
meeting to be held in two weeks
time. ,New mefnbers would be
most welcome, and all those
