The important , Christian observances of Lent and Ea
is of particular significance in the Arab world. On this very
ground where the magnificent drama of Christ's life actually
was played, devout Christians initiate the observance of Holy
Week on Palm Sunday as they participate fn the solemn Proces-
sion of Palms which begins at the top, or"the Mount of _.Olives.
"After the Lord had risen from supper, He, poured water
into a basin and began to wash thefeet of the ,disciples, to whom
He gave this example." (John, 13:4, 5, 15.) This sacred ceremony
of the Washing of the Feet, symbolic 'of Christ's humility at the'
Last Supper, is performed on Maundy Thursday in Jerusalem,
and in Christian churches throu•hout the world.

During this season many Christian` prayerfully watch for
the gift of they, Holy Fire at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
For each year on Saturday of Holy Week thefaithful participate
in, the Ceremony of Light when the Orthodoxb Patriarch enters
the Tomb of Christ, and a fire is passed from Heaven lighting
his torch, thus symbolizing the victory of the Cross. •
As the ceremoniesof Holy Week come to a climax, on Good
Friday, willing hands ' bear the cross that weighed so heavily
on the divine shoulder as Jesus bore the symbol of His martyr-
dom through the streets of Old Jerusalem, now in Jordan.
Retracing the way of the cross, worshipers follow the way led
by.' Christ to salvation for mankind.

For the Homeowner: Today, insurance is
making it possible for more Canadian fami-
lies than ever before to enjoy the security of
home ownership.
Without the protection of insurance against
fire and other disasters, probably few of to-
day's new homes could ever have keen
started. Knowledge that a home and its
contents are adequately insured against
sudden loss replaces worry with Peace of
Mind.
Last year, the companies writing fire, auto-
mobile and casualty insurance paid out more
than *500 Million Dollars in claims across
Canada — real evidence that insurance in-
deed means Peace of Mind.
