The'SVAS. of Knox Church met

presided and Mrs. Peter Walter,

Stripttuf. A duet was sung by
• Mrs. G Henderson and Mrs. W.
Idarah.
There; were 61;* hospital and 17
'home eats reported from the last
Meeting, and 89 more calls were
reported to date. The president
asked each member to visit the
sink and shut-ins during July and
August when no Meetings are held..
Mrs. J. Thomson -reported that
• $55.69 was received froin the blessbtg boxes for the hatf year. This
project started in 1956, and has
taken care of all extra donations
and expenses, apart from the regu-
lar envelo.pe contributions, includ-
ing 'WO, which was given' the
' 8rst year, 'to "Armagh," the Pres-
byterian Hpuke for Girls in Tor-
onto, in memory of Miss E. Wig-

Mrs. J. R. Leitch gave a talk on
the topic, "Missions are changing,"
referring to ^What has been done
by men like Dr. Jonathon Goforth
and Rev. Peter Marshall, and stress-
ing the need for our prayers, for
those who .are working ,now in
Horne Mission, and Overseas fields.

boy charged with being A juvenile
• delinquent in connection with the
slaying of Lynne Harper, 12, should

not.
The boy, who 'has been residing
with„his parents on Clinton. RCAF
.Station, appeared before Judge
Dudley E. Holz -nes in juvenile court
at,GoderichThursday.
Frank Donnelly, oft Goderich,
acted as,, defence counsel for the
boy,.
Crown Attorney H. Glenn Hays
noted that, when a juvenile is over
the age of 14,' • it is within the
discretion of the, juvenile court
fudge to transfer the case into the
•ordinary courts, if he .sees fit. „Mr.
Hays Asked that this be done.
Stating that he had net had suf-
• '• ficient time to go into the matter,
• Mr. Donnelly asked that it be, set
over 'til a later date. '
Judge Holmes said this was a
very serious matter .Rnd "I aria
strongly of the opinion .I should
••transfer it to a higher court."
• He was dubious that juvenile court
is the proper place to deal with it,
but he was quite willing to listen

The boy was sent back to Huron
County. Jail for oneweek, to be
• returned to juvenile court this
afternoon at 2 p.m. It is expected
there will then be a further Ire-,
mand 'til Tuesday, June 30, at
10.30 a.m. At that time, argument
will be heard on whether the boy,
should be,sent on to a higher court
or not.,.

OBITUARY.
(PETER CLARK
A native 'of England, Peter Clark,
died quite suddenly in Goderich
-, on Thursday last at the age of
85 years. Ile was a son of the
late Mir.. --:-and Mrs.- Rinhard..,glark,..
of England, and came to Canna
, 47 years ago. Mr. Clirk lived in
Toronto far a short while before
he . settled in the Bayfield district
'• where he operated a farm in
Gode-
ric'h Township. He was a veteran
i • of World _ War I, enlisting with
• the 1611ff Battalion. He was also a
member of Trinity A ,n oilcan
ehutch, Bayfield. -
(His wife, the fernier Plorence
Partridge, also of •Bligiand; pre-
deceased him eight years ago. Sfirt
