EBB ROSS, PRESIDENT
Lions Club Nominates New Officers;
ToId Salt Mine To Start July 15th
After some discussion, the Lions
Club on Friday evening decided to
oontinue the sponsoring of the
Maitland Air Cadets. A plea for
the continuance of sponsorship
was made by W. flaysom.
Mr. Haysom pointed out that the
idea of the Maitland Air Cadets
was to make future good citizens
and the thought behind it was
not, as some imagine, to build the
boys up for "cannon fodder." The
following volunteered to act on the
Air Cadet committee: W. Ifaysom
(chairman); Dr. Leitch, H. Bettger,
Dr. Hughes, M. Jenkins and G.
McManus.
It was announced that Lion Pre-
sident W. Luanby had been elected
zone chairman and for this he
was ' given the usual "Lion's
Roar." '
.Plans for a draw to be held on
Labor Day, August 7, were out-
lined by Maurice Jenkins.. The

DID YOU ' KNOW ?
You always know where you stand
when you borrow, from your own or- + h
ganization. You' know how much your r`"t.``l QQ`%
loan is and how much you are paying Q° %ti~//
for it. There are no extra charges, no / s°/ c' ` °/
service fees, no investigation fees. ';_iQED1T /1.'.•.
You only pay interest on the actual
amount you borrow for the actual
time you have the money.
The Credit Union never charges'
more than 1% per month on the un-
paid balance. This is about $6.50 for
$100.00 paid up in 12 monthly instal-
ments. If loan covered by shares,
charges will amount to about $325.
