Relatives here heard of the
death of Stanley* Hughes, Toronto,
husband Of the fornier Cora Er-
rington, of this district Mr. and
Mrs. Victor Errington and (laugh-
eer, Mrs, John aurin, went 'to
Toronto for the funeral. -Taber
relatives in these parts, were in-
tending to be present for .the fun-
eral on Wednesday. Mr. Hughes''
folks live in the Gravenhurst dis-
trict.

Mrs. Winnifred Widconibe, Wind-

weeks with relatives and attendin

W. H. McClure, returned home on

Parental home, Mr. and Mrs. Herb
Finnigan.
The Woman's Association of the
United Church met for the April
meeting on Friday at the home of
Mrs. Robert Stothers. Ilfrs. Ray-
mond Finnigan was the leader and
Mrs. K. K. Dawson led in the de-
votional with the theme, "Love
Your Neighbor.” Mrs. Harvey Al-
ton gave the parsonage report.
The May meeting roll call will be
answered by- a verse with utrothu
in it. The organization ,madesplans
for catering for the Lions Club
banquet at Lueknow on April 27.
Mrs. Alton gave a reading on Tem-
perance. The hostesses for lunch
were Mrs. C. Crozier, Mrs. F. Pent-
land, Mrs. W. Pentland and .Mrs.
N. Rivett.
Mrs. R. MacDonald is visiting
her sister, Mrs. Ann Brown, Ripley.

her home after spending the winter
with her daughter, Mrs. G. Kidd,
Islington. -
The Cotwanash Junior Farmer'S
Association met in the Parish Hall,
Dungannon, for the April Meeting.
The president, Crawford McNeil,
was in the Chair. Nineteen boys
vere present. The minutes of the
March meeting were. read. John
Clark moved and pouglas Raynard
seconded their adoption. The roll
call was answered by ."Have you
started seeding"'yet?' 'Most gave .1
a negative answer. Mr. Jack 08trie,
Purina fieldman, showed a film on
increasing milk production. Mr. ,
George Wraith, locatPurina dealer,
then showed a film on his recent
trip to 'Florida. These men were
thanked for their informative films
by George Ribey. A dance com-
mittee of Frank Alton, DaVid Kirk-
land, Bruce' Raynard and George
Smythe, was set up. Miirray Gaunt
volunteered to 'take the Scottish
delegate when he arrives in May.
Ball—practice has been arranged
for May 11 in the Lucknow Park.
It was. moved by- Frank Alton and
seconded by Lorne Hackett that
the association sponsor the Calf
Club again this year. Crawford
McNeil was appointed director to
the Seaforth Fair Board. It was
moved by Murray Gaunt and sec-
onded by Douglas Raynard that the
meeting be adjourned. The meet-
ing closed with dancing.
'Miss Jessie Wallace has return-
ed to her home after spending the
winter with Mrs. J. Olver and Miss
E. McMillan.
