ANNUAL MEETING' HELD

Rev. K. E. Taylor, rector of St.
4 c George's Anglican Church, was
chairman when the annual meet-
ing of the church Was held on
Tuesday evening , of "last week, Je.
congratulated the congregation on
the year, of progress recorded; as
evidenced by. -the- reports -of. .t e

Although the records showed
that numerpus new members came
-in �t hile others left this area for
• other places during the year, the
overall membership is slightly in-
creased. • __.
In the treasurer's repurt given
by H. M. Ford a credit balance of
$90.40 was shown on the` year's
operations. Total receipts . were
$13,927.16.
Mr. Leslie Riley -was appointed
rector's 'warden and J. J. ' Morris,
people's 'warden.

patients at the hospital.

Company of Canada. Later

FOneral services for Charles
Henry Fenner were held on Sat-
urday afternoon at Lodge funeral
home with interment in Maitland
cemetery. .The -pallbearers were
Edward N7,Incent,. Ralph Morris,
George Bolton, Alex Mallough,
Robert 'Rising and Everett Elliott.
Rev.,R. G. MacMillan officiated.
'Mr. Fenner died at his family
home quite suddenly on Friday
morning, He was 40 years' of age
and was born at Toronto, • a son
of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fenner.
He•came to Goderich 17 years ago
and was engaged as an oiler on a
boat during the summer months.
He was a mem•ber of' St. George's
Surviving besides his wife, the
foymer Isabel Gatchell, of Delhi,
are three children, Stanley. Robert
rnd Sandra. His, mother also sur-
vives as well as two brothers and
six sisters.

After a lengthy illness, Mrs.
William • J. Allin, of Colborne
Township, died at Alexandra Hos-
pital on Wednesday, January 14,
at the age of 72 years. -176Vdased
was the former Elizabeth NiVins,
a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs:
James Nivins, of West Wawanosh.
She continued to live there until
1906 when she went! to Detroit,
returning in' 1908 at. whleh time
she married William John Allin.
They have since farmed in Col-
borne Township. She was a mem-
ber 'uf Benmilleri United Church.
She is survived by her husband
and six sons, Oliver at home, Roy
and Clarence, of Colborne 'Town!
