Unlike some other districts, the
employment situation in the area
,served by the National Employ-
ment Office at Goderich is relative-
ly good. At, this time there are
only 265 listed as seeking employ-
ment which is about three less than
at this time last year. In many
other areas the number listed as
seeking employment is well aheadl

and 115 women.

The banquet of the Tiger Dunlop
Women's Institute saw 66 members
and friends enjoy a turkey dinner
served by the ladies of Nile United
Church.
'Toast to the Queen was given
by Mrs. T. Lamb, while the toast
to the Women's Institute *as given
by Mrs. T. Clark. Mrs. T. Hunter
replied to the latter ,toast. Mrs.
Td. ibritgbreety moved a vote of
thanks to the ladies of Nile church
and the reply • was given by Mrs.
McNee.

Mrs. James Horton read the re-

The committee for the fashion

Mrs. B. Clark gave an account of
' a trip to the British Isles and show-
ed interesting pictures of the trip.

Clark. Mrs, Lloyd Young thanked
Mrs. B. Clark and Mrs. Nicholson

gram.
