ton, Kippen and Blyth. •
The executive of the Auburn
Horticulture Society met on Mon-
day evening. The_president,
Bert-Cfaig; was in Cl
harge. The
secretary M1ElitiMnteh, and
the treasurer, Mrs. Ed. Davies, gavel
statements on the, success o,f. the
flower show. The 'contest for nain-
ing the new flower bed and the
beautiful lawn had 45 entries. The
name "Manchester Garden" was
chosen. This name was submitted
by Mrs. Robert Turner and Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon,)ylor. A prize will,
be donated to'these 'winners. Plans
were made for the next meeting on
Monday, October 6fh, when a guest
speaker will be present. An in-
vitation will be sent to the Gode-
rich, Clinton, Blyth and Brussels
Horticulture Societies. The fall
„planting of the village flower beds
was also discussed.

Trousseau Tea Held.—Mrs. Bert
Hunking held a trousseau tea on
August 30th at her home, in honor
of her twin daughter, Iris Delphine,
nose marriage -took place last
Saturday. Guests were received by
the bride's mother, Mrs. Hunking
and the groorifs mother, Mrs.
Dewar. Guests were directed by
Mrs. Joseph Hunking and Miss
Jean Dewar. who also were in
charge of the guest book. Mrs.
Margaret Manning, grandmother of
the bride, and Mrs. William Hunk-
ing, aunt of the bride, presided.
at the tea table during the 'after-
noon: • Miss Grace Dewar, aunt of
the groom, and Mrs. Prank Tam-
blyn, aunt of the bride, presided
in the evening. Serving in the
afternoon were Mrs. Ted Hunking
and Mrs. William Manning and in
the evening these ladies were as-
sisted by Mrs. L6rffe-TftTnkttigrMrs:-
Stewart Ament and Mrs. Wilmer
Howatt. Miss Maxine Hunking,
twin‘sister of the bride, 'displayed
the wedding gifts. The shower and
trousseau gifts were in charge of
Miss Helen Dewar, Miss Jean
Dewar and Mrs. Percy Struthers,
all sisters of the groom, and Mrs.
Harry Lear, cousin 'of the bride,
and Miss Margaret A. Jackson.
Guests were present from Atwood,
Listowel, London, Goderich, Luck-
