Things are shaping up fast for

club, which will open on Wednes-
day, August 20, and continue on
to Saturday, August 23.
The fair will be officially opened
by Charles MacNaughton, of , Ex-
eter, ;MPP, for Huron, on Wednes-
day evening.
Co-chairmen of the fair are, Bert
Such and Frank Skelton. In charge
of the midway arrangements is
Bill Wilson. Entertainment chair
'man is Jack Marriott and publicity
chairman is Ken Miller. Mr. Bruce
Clifford is .in charge of personnel
and the chairman of the draws is
Bert :,Worrsell. President of the
Kinsme.n Clubis Len McGee,
On Wednesday evening at seven
o'clock -a parade of school children,
headed by the Blue Water- Band:
will march from Judith Gooderhanl
Memorial Park` to the Arena, to
attend the official opening cere-
monies.
On both Thursday and Friday
evenings there will be a program
of entertainment inside of the
Arena where the displays of mer-
chants and manufacturers' will)
draw hundreds of, spectators, It
is stated that there are some un -1
usually attractive displays in the
booths this year as well as on the '
_pounds outside of the arena. Out -1 will be a big midway --the
Pete Marsh shows -- with rides,,
games, sideshows, etc.

be a big variety show staged by a
troupe of professional entertainers

Mr. Peter Bakelaar, of Windsor,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Bake-
laar, of Ingersoll, was united in
rnarriage to Shirley Adelaide Grum-
mett, daughter of 'Mrs. Laurena
Grgmmett, of Goderich, at Knox
Presbyterian Church chapel, Gode-
,rich, at three o'clock Saturday
afternoon. Officiating minister was
Rev, R. G, MacMillan.
Given in marriage by "her uncle,
Mr., Arthur D. Doak, 'the bride, wore
a waltz -length gown of piny crystal-
lette, a white picture hat and
matching accessories and carried a
cascade of white carnations and
gladioli tips.
The matron of ' honor was Mrs.
William McLean, `of Toronto, a
cousin of the bride. She wore a
waltz -length gown of pink floral
sj,1k with matching accessories and
catried a nosegay of pink carna-
tions and gladioli tips.
The groomsman was Mr. William
M. McLean, of Toronto. The
organist was Mr. William H. Bishop
and soloist was Miss Faye Brere-
ton, cousin of the bride, who sang
"The Wedding Prayer." Mr. Harry
Bloomfield, was usher.
Following the wedding .ceremony,
�a reception was held at Tiger
Dunlop Inn where the bride's
mother received in a dress of blue
printed silk with white accessories
and a corsage of red and pink
carnations.
Guests were present from Tor-
onto, Windsor, Ingersoll, Detroit
and London. For travelling, the
bride wore a lavender ensemble
with matching accessories. The
couple' went to Northern Ontario
on their honeymoon. On their re-
turn they will reside : at Windsor,.:.

Son was inadvertently omitted by
the Goderich Lawn Bowling Club
from the list of those who donated

chants' and manufacturers' tourna-
