[Mrs. F. Walkom presented the
charter and it was decided that the
regent take care of the charter
during her period of office.
1Mrs. Doak moved a vote of
thanks to Mrs. q. Emerson for the
new cover for the flag.
Plans for the Red Cross canvass
to be held on Thursday, June 5th,
were made with Mrs. G. Emerson
in charge.
Mrs. G. Stokes moved a vote of
thanks to the hostess. A social
half hour was enjoyed and a" lunch
wis served.

Saturday 'afternoon saw six per-
sons dedicate their lives to the

G. H. Saltmarsh; the district super-
visor.

Attends Assembly

gregation of. Jehovah's Witnesses
returned Sunday from their semi-
annual assembly in Stratford over
the week -end. -The three-day gath-
ering brought together seven con-
gregations, located in the Kitch-
ener-Goderich areas. The meet-
ings which were held in the 'Strat-
ford- Collegiate auditorium began
on Friday and continued through-
outthe week -end_

The Easter Thank -offering meet-
ing of the Arthur Circle of Knox
Church was held in the church!
parlor on 'Monday evening with the
president, Mrs. C. Edward, pre-
din�g.

were offered by Mrs. G. F. Mills,
Mrs. J. A. McConnell and Mrs. A.
Twaddle. Thirty-two calls made on
the sick were reported by Mrs. G.
Allison and Mrs. E. Seruton for
the welcome and welfare depart-
ment. The secretary's report was
given by Mrs. G. McManus and Mrs.
R. Henderson read the correspond-

BALLET GROUP
`Physical Education for Child-
ren"- was the theme at the regular
meeting of Goderich. Home and
School Association held in the
Public School auditorium on''Tues-
day evening with the president,
Mrs. R. H. Cornish, presiding.
Because of illness, the expected
speaker was unable to attend. In
place of this address, discussion
groups, were formed with the var-
ious tpachers to talk over school
problems.
The place of physical education
on the school curriculum was well
illustrated by several dance num-
bers put on by Mrs. Rose Fisher's
grade two pupils.
There was also a ballet group in
appropriate costume which gave
an interesting demonstration of
various phases of ballet training.

Mrs. Carl Worsell was convener
of the home bake table and pro-
ceeds from this sale are to be
donated to the local hospital to
be used in forming a, library for
the patients. ,
Donations were also received for
the cancer gift cupboard.
