Arthur Culbert, 'Maple Emblem Farms, were hon- ored at a surprise party with the home -coming of their family to celebrate their 47th wedding an- niversary. Mr. Culbert is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Abram Culbert and his wife was the form- er Nettie Tyndal, daughter of the latetMr. and Mrs. William Tyndal, Carlow. A very pleasant time was spent with music and games with Leis Crawford and Neta Sherwood entertaining the young folks in the dining room: A reading lamp was presented to them from the family.. At the close of the evening a dainty lunch was served including an anniver- sary cake. Another special feature was the card with all the names inscribed. Teen -Town Enjoyed.—Teen-Town was a new venture carried out by the Dungannon Y.P.U. at the Parish -Hall on Saturday night. Nile, Donnybrook. and Auburn Y:PJU.'s also attended. Record playing and dancing was enjoyed. Wayne Willis, of Goderich, and Art Freeman and Ross Rivett sup- plied vocal numbers with guitar accompaniment. Pop and dough-, nuts were on sale. R. G. MacMillan united in marriage Donald Edward Elliott and Maureen Margaret Hallam. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Elliott and the- bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs'. John Hallam, all of Goderich. Mr. W. H. Bishop. �proVided appropriate music The bride, `given in marriage her father, wore_ _a-.-white-cnc-ktail- Iength dress of nylon chiffon over taffeta with a chantilly lace bodice and ' soft pleated skirt with ap- pliqued lace flowerlets. A head- dress of matching lace held her elbow -length veil in place. She carried a bouquet of pink roses. Her sister, Miss Donna Hallam, was , maid of honor, wearing a princess style dress of pink bro- caded taffeta with bouffant skirt and a matching head bandeau. She carried a bouquet of blue carna- tions. Mr.Clayton Larder was grooms- man, and Stuart Hallam; brother of the bride,, was usher. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the bride's home where her mother received the guests. She wore a dress of brown crepe and green accessories. Later, the couple left on a wed- ding trip to =Niagara Falls. On their return, they will reside in London. t For travelling, the bride wore a grey sheath dress with pink cowl collar and silver accessories. She wore a corsage of pink roses. Mrs. Tigert's brother, Lloyd Kauf- man, flew from Dawson City, Yukon,.,;to attend his mother's fun- eral on Friday, and remained with' Mr: and Mrs: Tigert over the. week- end. The Young People's Society of Christ's Anglican Church held a successful euchre party in the church basement on Tuesday even- ing.
