Examine Your Stook The time of year has arrived when farmers begin to count noses or horns, and look up cattle, etc., which have been allowed to roatn at their sweet will all summer In cases of this nature neighbors as an act of courtesy as well as a legal requirement where they have stock about their places which does not belong to them, should promptly advertise the satne in a local paper. The law is very explicit in this respect, a heavy penalty attaching to any case where a person harbors animals without makingthe fact public. No farmer having stock estray can. reasonably object to paying the cost of the necessary advertisement as it inmost cases saves a vast deal of time and trouble. In every case where a farmer desires to be honest he will advertise the fact that stray ani- mals are on his premise+.
