A, Sharp, of Seafortli, is ser- iously ill. She has been confined to the house for several weeks. Mr D. A. McKenzie, of Blanshard, last week dug a large potato, the weight of which is 3 lbs and 1 oz. On Sunday last a Tontine mare belonging to Mr A. McWilliams, south of Olandeboye, broke her leg. The animal was shot. The Methodist authorities in St Marys have had four electric arc lights placed in the" ohnreh to be used instead of gas. The estimated cost of the new town hall for St Marys is 39,000- Nothing definite, however, has been decided upon as yet. Last week we made mention of the fact of a young son of Mr. Straiton, of Goderich having strayed away from bottle.
