Holiday Fruit Wreath Yield -2 Wreaths 1 r cup milk • 1 cup granulated sugar D., teaspoons salt GREATER 1/4 cup shortening 4h cup lukewarm water 2 teaspoons .granulated sugar 2 envelopes active dry yeast 2 well -beaten eggs 4% cups (about) once -sifted all- purpose flour % cup minced pecans 1% cups minced seedless raisins % cup minced glaced fruits Scald milk; stir in the % cup sugar, salt and shortening. Cool to lukewarm. Meantime, measure lukewarm water into a large bowl; stir in the 2 teaspoons sugar. Sprinkle with yeast. Let stand 10 minutes, then stir well. Stir in lukewarm milk mixture, and well -beaten eggs. Stir in 2% cups of the flour and beat until smooth and elastic. Stir in sufficient additional flour to make a soft dough—about 2 cups ore. Turn out on Soured board anid knead until smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl; grease top. Cover. Let rise in a warm place, free from draft, until doubled in bulk—about 1% hours. Meantime, put through food chopper, using a medium blade,, sufficient pecans, raisins and mixed- glaced fruits to yield the required amounts. Combine fruits ands pecans. Punch down risen dough.
