Club was had last Wednesday
evening at the home of Mrs. K.
Cox, with 13 ladies present. The
president, Mrs. G. (Manning, open-
ed the meetingp

last ' t eeting and Mrs. Bert Harris
gave the treasurer's report. The

ing of a snap taken back in early
school days. Hiring the evening

The show opened with the placing

guests and introduced the master
of ceremonies, 'Mas. H. Brennan.
Mrs. C. Edward kept up a lively
commentary en the fashions
throughout the showings which had
a large .clock for a !background set -

The first acene, with autumn
leaves and pennants, depicted a
campus featuring sport clothes,
after which Aran Reid and Edward
Curry delighted the audience with
their tap dancing.
The second scene, featuring a
gigantic wedding calve, was the
setting for a wedding and recep-
tion. This' showed a formal and
informal wedding and a hast of
guests dressed for the occasion.

the Perth -Huron Unit of the Can -

was decided to form twa units -
one in Perth and one in Huron.

versary services, which were well
attended. Mr. Williams was minis-
ter of Victoria Street Church

REPORT ON DIOCESAN MEET
.KINGSuBRIDGE, Oct. 21. - St.
Joseph's sub -division CWL, Kings-
bridge, held their monthly meet-
ing in the church vestry last Tues-
day when Mrs. Ray Dalton, presi-
dent, presided.
Minutes of the last meeting were
approved as read by the secretary,
Mrs. Robt. Howard, jr. A letter
was read. from Mrs. James- Shea-
ratt, Goderich, inviting all, mem-
bers to the Deanery meeting to
be held in MacKay Hall, Goderich,
on October 23rd.
Mrs. Leo Courtney gave an in-
teresting report on the diocesan
convention which took place at
St. Thornas.
It was decided to have a Mass
offered in October for the souls in
purgatory.
Plans were completed for the
wedding breakfast to be served by
the COWL for the Martin -Doherty
wedding.
The fall festival held October 11,
was reported a success.

Junior and Sepior Choirs led by
Frank Bissett, with Harry West-
lake and Charles Woods as soloists.
Appropriate floral and harvest de-
corations were arranged by Mrs.
Anne Smith and Mrs. Nola Craig.
Mr. Williams spoke forcefully
in the morning on "Life's Tests,"
stating that life was a process of
sifting and threshing in which
Christian faith" enabled men to
come forth with refined ,noble
character. In the evening, Mr.
William's subject was "The Ctprp
of Salvation. ' The minister of
the churnh, Rev. S. A. Moote, con-
ducted both services.
