Goderich Team
Holds Big lead
In Swim Series
With four of five scheduled swim
meets now under their belts, Gode-
rich swimmers hold a cgmimanding
lead over other district swim teams
in the race for club and individual
honors.
The Goderich team, which trams
at Judith Gooderham Memorial
Park under the direction of John
Kane, stretched its lead over the
runner-up St. Marys team to 84
points following Tuesday night's
fourth meet of the season at Mil-
verton.
The fifth and final meet, sponsor-
ed by Lake Huron Zcue Recrea-
tional Council, will be held at the
Centralia RCAF Station pool next
Wednesday evening.
Top individual point winners in
the meets held so far have been'
two Goderich swimmers—Bill Cal-
low in the boys' section and Peggy
Young in the girls' section.
Team standings after four meets
are: Goderich 371, St. Marys 287
Exeter -Centralia 18x7, Milverton 83
and Listowel 40.
In Tuesday night's meet at Mil-
verton, rgroderich scored 108 points,
St. Marys 66, Exeter -Centralia 56,
Milverton 11 and Listowel 1.
