Clairmont sold tickets on a cake which was won by 'Mrs. Lillian Howard, of Goderich. Hall, Kingston street, was the scene of a very successful bazaar and tea sponsored by the Ladies' Legion Auxiliary on Saturday. The colorful flower gardens bordering the lawn, added to the festive garden tea atmosphere. Tea was served from small tables adorned with summer flowers. Con- vener was Mrs. E. Qhambers assist- ed by Mrs. A. The roll call was answered with "How Farm Women Save Time for Leisure." The Institute are spon- soring a bus trip to the Rug Fair in Colringweod on July 26. Mrs. Wyles played for the Queers and Institute Grace, after which lunch was served. o 0 0 County Librarian Visits In West Mrs. Alice Jean Eckmier, Huron County librarian, is `expected aback this week from a trip to the West. Leaving Goderich June 6, she attended the Canadian Library Con- ference in Victoria, B.C., then visit- ed Seattle. After spending 10 days in Vancouver, she went cn to Calgary and Olds, Alberta, where she once lived. She expects to call at Winnipeg on her way back to Goderich. Coxford (standing) are the owners of a new Canadian radio station, CJRH, Richmond Hill, which went on the air at 5.55 a.m., July 1st, as Canada observed its 90th birthday. The radio station's signal 'beams north to Bartle and south to Lake Ontario, east to Uxbridge and west to Orangeville. Water Skiing Water skiing practice has been resumed for the season at the harbor. Members of the Goderich Aqua Club are training young people NAN are interested in being proficient in this art.
