John J. Mahoney, manager of the Dominion Marine Association, said 53 vessels have been built dor service on the lakes since 1947. Of these, 36 are Canadian, the rest are awned in United States. During this time the Canadian shipping industry has spent more than S100.000.000 in building, con- verting and modernizing. Trewartha.' O- o OBITUARY MRS. J. W. MOORE Mrs. John Wesley Moore, Victoria street, died on Sunday afternoon, June 30, at Alexandra Hospital, in her 86th year. She had been ill from four to five weeks. She was the former Henrietta Farquhar, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. : - . titl�ett Tovt11- sh'kp, w' ere +,,."sire attended school and lived until her marriage. 1n .1896 she was married to John Wesley Moore who was employed with the Sherlock -Manning Organ Company of Clinton. In 1971 they moved to Goderich where Mr. Moore was connected with the Goderich Organ Factory. Mrs. Moore was a past president of the Woman's Association of North Street United Church, of which church she was a member. Her husband predeceased her in 1047 and she is survived by one daughter, -MIs. Merle Lottridge, of Detroit, Mich. She was the last member of a family of four girls and three boys. Rev. A. E. Eustaee conduct- ed the funeral service at Stiles funeral home. Montreal street, on Wednesday afte'noon• Interment was made in Clinton cemetery. The pallbearers were Harold S. Turner, Ernest J.
