Winning all 'four eveaate iia his
class, MMi'ke Uclesic was the top
paint winner at the annual field
day held by Godes ich. Public School
and Gaderich Separates School.
With the weather co-ope'ating,
the meet went o0._ smoothly under
the direction of M. Shackleton
on Wednesday of last week. Teach-
ers from both schools helped
handle the ,various competitions
and acted • as judges.
1VLike Helesic's four wins earned
him 20 points and brought him
the intermediate boys' champion-
ship. ' Runner-up in this class was
Bill Sudman, who captured nine
points,
Wayne Willis, who wee senior
p boys' champion with 18 points,
won three events and was second
'in the other. Bud Robinson was
second man in the class with nine
points.
The junior boys' crown went to
Bobby Graham, who picked up 15
points, seven more than second -
place John Kelly.
Betty Allis captured the senior
girls' charnrpiorithip, earning 14
points, just one more than Connie
MadDonald. In the intermediate
girls' class, the winner was Ruth
Durnin with 16 points. The run-
ner-up, Donna Gardner, scored
seven points. Junior girls' champ-
ion, with 13 points, was Susan Sale,
followed by Jennifer Parsons with
eight points.
Medals and shields for the cham-
pions will be - present,ed at com-
mencement exercises • later this
year. In addition, their names
will be inscribed on a plaque° at
the school.
Competitions for grades 3 to 8
were held at Agricultural Park,
while pupils of grades 1, 2 and
the kindergarten held their meet
