SPO This may seem like an odd time of the year to be talking about hockey, but it actually is not. If Goderich is to be represented by a strong hockey clui, next winter, work should be started now and not left until next fall. Thanks largely to the classy Goderich Midget Sailors, local and district fans enjoyed a fair share of exciting action at Goderich Memorial Arena during the past season. But what about nl?xt win- ter? About 80 per cent. of the play- ers who brought this town its second straight all -Ontario Midget "B" championship this past winter will be too old for midget ranks next winter. Some of the Midget Sailors have received invitations to try out with junior "B" clubs next fall, and others will, un- doubtedly drift away unless defin- ite plans are verde here soon to ice a Goderich team in juvenile or junior hockey, ranks. It is understood that the 'Gode- rich Recreation and Arena Ctpn= mitte6 has given consideration to forming a juvenile team for next season. Goderich Booster Club has toyed with ,the idea of spon- soring a junior "B" team: Clutton, who died in 1936. Rev, S. H. Larry Jeffrey and Dave LQeson, two stand -out performers(with the Sailors, have received invitations to attend the Burlington junior "B" camp next fall. Burlington is affiliated with Detroit Red Wings. Goalie B.on Williamson has been invited to work out with Dixie Beehives, the junior "B" outfit sponsored by Chicago Black Hawks.
