We have been following report, on this
,ubjeet for ,eine years now. Unbiased, we
!inti that the preponderance lie on the side of
those who advocate fluoridation to the point
.,f one part fluorine- to one million parts of
water.
It seems to us that this matter .should be
t hrt-'heti out; if necessary by legal vote,' before
any t•untraets are let for a proposed new water
system. Then fluoridation. if it be decided
upon, can he at•cuinpllshed Nvith a minimum

a portrait of Dr. Ii. I .Strang, who

was the first of the doctor's "boys"
to go to university.
J. W. Craigie was appointed
agent for the D. and C. Navigation
Co. and the Starrole Line, which
operated the steamers Huron and
Oity of Detroit on a route that
touched Goderich. -
The name of -Graham Hick Robin-
son appeared in the list of students
who were successful in examin-
ations at the Ontario College of
Pharmacy. Mr. Robinson was a
son of Capt. and Mrs. William
Robinson, of "Goderich.
A farewell social was to be held

Since Goderich Public Utilities
Commission showed an operating
profit of $4,666 on the previous
year's operations, the commission
asked Ontario Hydro to authorize
reduced rates for Goderich con-
sumers. The total surplus at De-
cember 31 was $40,734.
As evidence of the unusual
growth in IMay, D. A. MacDonald,
of Lochalsh reported he had come
across a stalk of ,fall wheat that
measured 42 inches. It was said
that a field of rye, near Goderich,
was headed out and would be ready
for harvesting early in June:

dent of Goderich Board of Trade.

Owing to tire and gasoline re-

Rev. Reba Hern, of Varna Unit-
ed Church, was attracting consider-
able attention. She was the only
ordained woman engaged in pas-
toral work In Canada. In the 10
mouths oLher ministry at Varna,
she had preached In 26 different
pulpits. .
