scoped with a terrific slap shot.
In the last frame, Larry Jeffrey
added two more, assisted both

Mrs. Dorothy Reed read a letter
from Miss Ida White, missionary.
Mrs. R. E. Wilson gave an Easter
reading and was thanked by Mrs.
C. MacDonald.
The guest speaker, Mrs. Lenn
Campbell, of Seaforth, was intro-
duced by Mrs. C. Edward. She
was thanked by Mrs. Mary Walter.
Mrs. R. W. Hughes thanked the
members of the Arthur Circle for
an enjoyable evening.

W. HOSPITAL AUXILIARY
The Women's Hospital Auxiliary
met on Monday afternoon in the
Board Room of the hospital. Nine-
teen members were present. After
the reports had been read, arange-
ments for the Hospital Day tea to
be held in MacKay Hall were dis-
cussed and conveners and com-
mittees appointed. The members
have contributed a shower of sup-
plies for the gift cupboard of the
Cancer Society.

As usual, the lads raised most
of the money to make the jaunt
East with the help of their ,moth -
ens. They sold over 1200 packets
of penny matches on one project.
Several mothers are with the team
again, including (Mrs. Leah and
Mrs. Alyce Carnegie who are mak-
ing their fourth visit here and Mrs:
Olive Olinkin who is on. her third
visit. Significantly enough, neither
Mrs. Carnegie nor Mrs. Olinkin
have sons young enough +to play
now, but the annual visit to Code -
filch still remains a big thrill for
both of them.
The Mustangs have a number of
games du Toronto including ex-
hibittions and the Oakwood invita-
tion tournarflent at Weston, Ont.,
next Monday. They always have
done pretty *well in Young Canada
Week and will defend the New-
foundland 'trophy against St. John's
and the traditional East-West cup
with Goderich.

were held last Tuesday afternoon
at the home of Mrs. Wm. Hardy
with 12 -ladies present. Mrs. Stuart
Chamney presided over' the W.M.
S. meting. An Easter reading
was given by Mrs. Noble. Mrs.
'Sam Thompson read an article on
the life of Dr. Helen Forbes. Mrs:
H. Jefferson sang a splo. Mrs. R.
Chamney gave a reading and Mrs.
Harold Woods read the chapter in
the study book.
Mrs. Sam Thompson was in
-charge of the W.A. meeting. Mrs.
Chas. Jefferson read the Scripture.
Mrs. R. Cliamney read a poem. A
contest was `won by Mrs. John
Noble. Lunch was served by the
hostess, assisted by Mrs. H. Jeffer-
son, and Mrs E. Robinson.
