moved to Winnipeg with her par-
ents

mother is" the former Margaret
Lednor, of Port Albert. Surviving
besides her parents are.. one sister,
Anne, and her grandparents, Airs.,
William Ballwin, of Exeter, and
Mr ani Mrs. II. Lednor, 'of Port,
Albert.
• Funeral services were conducted
on December 10 from the Hopper -
Hockey funeral home, Exeter,•with
Rev. Geo. Watt, of Part Albert
United Church, anti Rev. Alex Ra1i-
son, of Exeter UnitedChurch,
jointly officiating. Interment was
in Exeter cemetery. The pallbear-
ers were -three cousins, Clare Balk -
will, Exeter; Douglas Abthill, Kit-
chener; Fred Dickson, London, and
Richard Hee;r, Kitchener.
The floral tributes were num-
erous and ifi iends and relatives
were present -from Toronto, Ham-
ilton, Hanover, Kitchener, London,
Brantford and Alliston
Her father resided in Exeter
before joining the RCAF in 1942
at fort -Albert, and is now sta-
tioned at No. '14 Group Headquar-
ters Station, Winnipeg.

William Hugh Johnston, of Gode-
rich, has joined Ontario Provincial
Police and is currently stationed
at St. Catharines. Mrs. Johnston
and their two children are remain-
ing in Goderich until plans are
more complete.

New PreSident
Of Local Legion
Eric Johnstone was elected presi-
dent of the Canadian Legion,
Branch 109, at the annual elections
held here last Thursday night.
He succeeds BudeMathieson.
