ly. After the guests were wel-
comed 'by Mrs. W. T. Robison, a

Jackson at the organ. The psalm
was read responsively, led by Mrs,
Oliver Anderson. The 'solos from
guest societies were- all very ap-

Mills played for the dedicatory
prayer. The roll call for May will
be answered with a Bible verse
containing the word "Joy." The
superintendent told the story of

ongratuations to Mr. Jack
Stoltz, who, last week celebrated
his 85th birthday at his home. Mr.
Stoltz was born April 5, 1871 which
was Good Friday that year. He
is the son of the late 'Mr. and Mrs.
Jacob Stoltz of New Dundee and
attended school in that district.
Fifty-seven years ago he was mar-
ried to Miss Margaret Garland.
:Mr. .and Mrs. Stoltz took up farm-
ing on the Auburn -13137th road
where he srpecialized in purebred
stock until eight years ago when
they sold their farm and took up
residence in Auburn. 'He is a
member of Knox Presbyterian
Church being an elder of the Kirk
Session and also served as manager
and secretary of the church for
many years. Mr. Stoltz has a son
Eldon at Aurora and a daughter,
Marguerite, Mrs. Chopin, of Wing -
ham, and three grandchildren. We
wish him many more years of
continued good health.

representatives from all congrega-
tions in the village. Rev. D. J.
Lane" presided and opened the

was decided to hold the school this
year in Knox Presbyterian Church,
July 9 to 14, with the closing

C. Cook publishing house. Each
