An Australian newspaperman,
who ,passed through Goderich
Tuesday on his way around the
world, confessed to feeling a bit
homesick when he spotted the
Maitland River. James )Levitt ex-
plained that it ,brought back mem-

near his old ho uetown of Wind-
ham, Australia.
Mr. Revitt was highly impressed
.with Goderieh and commented: "I
have never come, across a town of
this size with so many anchors.

Before returning to Australia, Mr.
Revitt plans to 'pay a visit to Wing -
ham, England.
Australians are very interested
in Canada, said the much -travelled
newspaperman. He would like to
see an exchange of high school
students between the two countries
to promote better understanding.

Sunday, 'Mrs. J-ohn Schwann, of 46
Brucestreet, is in satisfactory con-
dition today, reports Alexandra
Marine and General Hospital. She
suffered shock and abrasions to her
head when the car driven by her
husband left Highway 21 and
struck a tree, one and a half miles
south of Goderich.
Mr. Schwanz also suffered abras-
ions but was sot admitted to hos-
pital. The car was extensively
damaged, say Provincial Police.
The driver told •police he was
trying to pass another northbound
auto when the accident happened
about .12.30 a.m. Sunday. The
Schwanz car touched the soft
shoulder and it went mut of con-
trol, coming to rest against a tree.
Linda Moore, 6, taken to Victoria

burns, is now much improved.
