Denstedt, daughter • of Mr. and Mrs. George Denstedt, and was born at Blyth, June 27, 1894. (Her parents moved later to Auburn where 'Mrs. Murano at- tended the Auburn echooV On 4ugust 13, • 1919, she was married. to Ralph D. llfunro. at Kitthener. Following their marriage they .toefc up residence in this village. She was a devoted:member a Knox United.Church where she has been organist and choir leader for over 20 years. She was also a member of the Women's Missionary Society and the Woman's Association. She belonged to the O.ES. of Blyth, and was a director of the local -Horticultural Society. Mrs. Munro is survived by her husband and two daughters, Mary, Mrs. Robert Ling, of Guelph, and Zeta, Mrs. Bert Baechler, of Goderich; also one sister, Pearl, Mrs. William Strasser, of Stratford. The fun- eral was held on Saturday with a private service at the Arthur funeral home and then to Knox United Church where Rev. C. C. -Washington conducted the ser- vice, assisted by Rev. Hugh C. Wilson, of Clinton, and Rev. Har- old J. Snell, of Exeter. High trib- ute was paid to the deceased for her untiring effort to help with the service of song. Interment took place in Maitland cemetery, G o d er i s h. Pallbearers were Free Methodist Church . St. Mark's A.Y.P.A.—The AYPA of St. Mark's Anglioan • Church held 'their meeting last ;Friday evening at the home of Miss Mary Clark who was in charge of the :teeing. The opening hymn, "Youth" of the World Arise," was sung with Miss Margaret Clark presiding at the piano. The Scrip- ture lesson was read by Miss Lorraine Bench and prayers were taken by Mrs. Frank Nesbitt. The topic, "What is Lent," and how should we as Anglicans observe it was given by Mrs. Larry Glasgow. Another hymn was sung and Rev. Bren re Vries closed the devotion- al period with prayer. The busi- ness meeting was conducted by the president, Lawrence Nesbitt. Lunch was served by the hostess and a social time enjoyed by all. Women's Institute.—The March meeting of the Auburn Women's Institute was held last week In the Orange Hall with a large at- tendance. -The president, :Mrs. Wellington Good, opened the meeting. Plans for the Sunshine Sister banquet which is on April 17 in Dungannon were completed. Each Sunshine Sister is to present a' gift of not more than 50c to her when she reveals her name. On •March 28 Mr. and %Mrs. Jaynes Raithby celebrated their 56th wed- ding anniversary at their home. Both arc enjoying fair good health. Mrs. Raithby is recovering from a recent serious operation. Mr. and +Mrs. Raithby were married at the home of her sister, the late Mrs. 11. It. 'Hill and Mr. Hill on the 10th Concession of llullett. Mr. Raithby was the son of the late Mr. and 1VIrs. George Raithby, 13th of Hullett and Mrs. Raithby was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Ball of the Base Line. After their marriage 'they resided on the 13th and 15 years ago they mored to their present home in the village. Mr. Raithby has just recently passed his 82nd birthday and 'Mrs. Raithby her 84th. They have two sons, Glen and Lloyd, both of London, and five grandchildren. One sister of Mrs. Raithby's, Mrs. George Sturdy is her twin and is a frequent visit- or to the Raithby home.
