McArthur tied it up on a pass
from Williamson at 12.02 of the
second stanza, but Bolden put
Walkerton back in the lead at
14.25. ' Only 55 seconds of the
third chapter had passed when a
goal by Peaehey, assisted by Lee-
son put the two teams back in a
tie. Taking a pass from Gallow
and Jeffrey at 14.28, Garrick dent-
ed the twine to score Goderich's
winning goal
In their 14 scheduled and play-
off •games this season, the Midgets,
piloted by Ted Williams, lost only
one game—that being to St. Marys
in the playoffs. The boys have
provided some fine hockey here
this season and are to be con-
gratulated on their winning the
Midget "B" honors. They have
been outweighed by nearly every •
team they have come up against
this season, but what they lacked
in size, they made up for in skill.
It is expected the Midgets will
now meet Merritan in the OMHA
playoffs.

Sailors Trounce
Port Elgin 11-2
Goderich Sailors put on a dazzl-
ing display of hockey in the Arena
here Monday night when they
trounced the Port Elgin Jaycees
11-2, to lead the best -of -five series
with that club, two games to one.
MacPherson was the chief light
flasher for the Sailors, counting
for four of the Goderich goals.
He was followed by MacDonald
with three and Williams with two.
Reis and Meriam netted the other
two.
'Port Elgin drew the first blood
at 6.11 of the opening period, when
McNeil scored. MacDonald . rap-
ped two in for the locals at 10.33
and 12.14 on passes form White,
Williams and Westlake to put the
Tars out in front 2-1.
Whitney tied it up again at 6.24
of the second period, but the locals
caught fire and during the next
10 minutes (MacPherson scored
twice and Williams, Ma•CDos ald

assists for these -goals went to
Arbour, Meriam, Miller, Reis, Mor-
timer, Beacom, Williarns...and Mac-

tive defence held the Jaycees score-
less in the third period, vtrh
MacPherson chalked up two' more
and Williams and Reis added
singles. White, Meriam and Mac-
Pherson drew assists on these
goals.
Only nine penalties were hand-
ed otit during the game, although
temper; threatened to flare on
several occasions during the final
period. The ordinarily tolerant,
Ted Brady wasted little time in
doffing his gloves and sprawling
Walmsley on the ice with several
rapid :fire punches ,Then he and
Walmsley tangled on the boards
at 16.14 of the third period. Both
drew two -minute roughing penal-
ties with an additional two minutes
going to Brady for high sticking.
