Seven extra employees have been hired to handlle the big task. The Chaff have been working in shifts from 7 atm. until 3 a.m. A. M. Homuth, post ''master, said the peak of the volume was hit Monday afternoon and the usual last-minute rush was not expected this ye'a`r.., Post master Homuth said this ii:due largely to the fact thatt'the residents of Goderich have Co -Operated in getting their mail out early, addressing their en- velopes and parcels !clearly, wrap- ping the parcels adequately and tying their envelopes together when mailing them. He said the staff have found this to be of great help and wish to ,extend their ap- preciation to Goderich 'citizens. Guest speaker was 'Mr. L. (Kay, Walkerton Recreational Director, who chose .."Recreation" as his; topic.
