No. 324 held' a succesSful dance in
Agrieulture Hall on Friday even-
ing. The draw for the prize turkey
went to Lloyd Craig, for goose to
Thomas Culbert and the duck to
Hank Norris.
Colwanash Banquet. — The Col-
wan:ash Junior Farmers and Junior
Institute held a successful banquet
in Carlow Hall with a good crowd
in attendance. Rev. George Watt,
of Dungannon, said grace. Jim
Scott, president of the Junior
Farmers, proposeda toast to the
Queen. A word of welcorne was
given by June Nivins. Mrs. Arn-
old Alton led in a number of sing-
songs. Joyce Little thanked Dun-
lop Institute for the delicious din-
ner served. A brief sketch of the
past year's progress was read by
the secretary of each club. A few
remarks were made by Arthur Bol-
ton, assistant agriculture repre-
sentative, ,of 'Clinton, Mrs. Dorothy
Filsinger, home economist, Walker-
ton, and Rodger Swass, assistant
farm editor, Wingham. Lorne
Hackett introduced the guest
speaker, Mr. Grant Maclnnis. Mr.
Hackett moved a vote of thanks.

Euchre Party.—The ladies of the
Sunbeam Club held a euchre party
in the school room on Friday night
last. Eight tables were in plak.
First prize went to Mrs. Esther
Rivett and 'Charlie Rivett. Second
prize was won by Mrs. Allan Dick-
son and Arnold Stothers. Proceeds
of the' evening went to provide
Christmas treats for the children.
Lunch was served at the efose of
the evening.
Miss Barbara Wilson, nurse -in -
training at Victoria Hospital, Lon-
don, was home for the week -end
with her parents, Mr, and Mrs.
