Phillips—Walter —A very pretty wedding took place at the parson- age of Vietoria Street • United 'Church, Goderich, last Saturday at 3 p.m., when Elizabeth Irma May, daughter of. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Walter, of R.R: 4, 'Goderich, be - carne the bride of William Durnin Philips, son of Mr. and Mrs. Her- man Phillips, of R.R. 7, Lucktnow. The `ceremony was performed by the Rev. S. A. Moote. The bride looked charming in a charcoal grey suit, pink hat and gloves, black shoes and ,purse.. _ She wore a cor- sage of pink carnations. The mat ron of honor was ,;Mrs. Kenneth Horton, of Goderich, who wore a light grey suit with navy acces- sories and a corsage of Fellow mums. The groom was attended by his brother, Donald Philips, of Lucknow• A reception was helc at -the ;home of •the bride's aunt, Mrs. Wellington Good, and Mr, Good, of Auburn. The bride's mo- ther received in a dress of blue crepe with a corsage of red roses. The groom's mother assisted wear- ing a dress of light blue crepe with a corsage of pink roses. The -home was •beautifully decor- ated with baskets of fall flowers and evergreen. The dining "'table was centred with the bride's cake and the room was decorated with pink and white streamers and bells. The toast to the bridal couple ' was proposed 'by the groom's uncle, Durnin Phillips, of 'Dunigaxinon. The, serviteurs were Miss Marion Pepper, of Hensa•Ll; Miss Karen Petterson and Miss Winnie Clark, of Colborne ,Town- ship. Mrs. Percy Ynngblutt and Mrs. George Hallam assisted in the kitchen. Following a trip to Niagara Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Phil- lips will reside in Goderich. Guests were ;present from London, De- troit, and Niagara: Falls. 'Miss Viola Thompson, who has been a patient in 'Clinton hospital, returned home last week. Mr. and -Mrs. Alfred Weston, of Toronto, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs., Alfred Rollinson; and Murray, over the holiday.
