Sudden Illness.—Village citizens
and relatives were,shocked to hear
of the sudden illness of Herb
Stothers. Mr. and Mrs. Stothers
had been visiting friends on Sun-
day evening and returned in the
car, shortly after midnight.- He
was stricken with a weak spell as
he was leaving the car to enter
the house. Medical help was sum -
maned quickly and he was taken
by ambulance to Goderich hos-
pital 'where Insrays will be taken
this week.
Mr. and MrS. Arthur Roach and
Mrs. Ethel Hay, of Listowel, re-
newed acquaintances her on, Sun-
day, visiting Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Ryan and others.
Garry and Noreen Baxter, child-
ren of Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Bax-
ter, spent same holidays with their'
grandparents, Mr and Mrs. Herb
Stothers.
Mrs. D. Fines, Toronto, on a
two-week vacation, spent last week
With her brothers, Cecil and Har-
old Blake.

The Errington eeunion picnic
'was held at Harbor Park on Sun-
day, August 21, and about 60 rela-
tives attended.
Miss Pearl , Caldwell, Lucknow,
and brother, Ben .Caldwell, Wind-
sor, spent two weeks, at their home

tions.

Party Held. ---A surprise party
was held for Mrs. Robert Bere, of
Dungannon, at her home last Sun-
day when her four sons were
home. They presented her with
a lovely chair and other gifts.
There were '16' present. An en-
joyable afternoon was, spent, top-
ped off by a bounteous supper.
