- ° e)Vhy did four Volkswagens in competition with sports cars costing
thousands of dollars more, come in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th at the Sports
Rally on January 21st in the tough Laurentian Mountains?
Why did two regular stock Volkswagens win both first and third
places in the gruelling 1400 mile "Canadian Winter Rally" held last
month from Toronto whet 25 out of 56 cars of all types and classes
were forced to quit?
Why, in the tropical heat, were 6 Volkswagens able to win in their
class and against much more powerful cars, 6 of the first twelve places
in the toughest one of them all—the spectacular "Carrera
Panamericana" at Mexico City.
