Special men- tion was made of the availability of the two trucks and their total gallonage, frog nozzle, special masks for tie ' firemen, and the inhalator. The latter can be operated by any of the firemen, but only a medical dectar could advise when it should be put into use. By-law No. 3, to approve of a sub -division plan' of Mr. and Mrs. 'LeRoy Poth was given three read- ings and passed. By-law No. 4, to approve of tree-rplaniting agree- ments with six landowners of the township was passed. Once again this township has reached the maximum4.t?.f„50 acres per year for reforesting under this agreement. By-law 1No:' 5, to authorize the borrowing of up to $25,000 for cur- rent expenditures, was passed. The committee in charge of the Brucellosis campaign in the town- ship was appointed. Members are: E. Mcllwain, Robert Stirling, and R. Thompson. The inspectors re- appointed were H.•Tyndall and H. McCartney. Robert Welsh request- ed further grants train the town- ship for the School Area as a result Of having to transport certain pupils from an overcrowded school. A number of ratepayers express- ed their opinion regarding the boundary of the' Clinton and Gode rich High School was. NO ac - ,tion was taken at .this time. The Leeburn W,M.S. will meet for their January meeting next Wednesday afternoon at the North Street parsonage. Mrs. Thomas Jewell and ^Verne attended the funeral of the form- er's niece, Miss Isabel Murray in Teeswater on Monday. Personal Mention Mr. and Mrs. Gordon 'Keating' are on a holiday metor trip to Pennsylvania. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Kerr spent the week -end in Toronto with the former's parents, ,W1r. and Mrs. R. J. Kerr and family. Mr. . George Bowra attended a meeting of Western Tire and Auto Supply associate dealers at London` this week. Neil Thompson, jr., St. John's, P.Q., paid a flying visit to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Thompson, last Saturday. Mrs. C. Zone Forester' recommended removal of a number of trees from the refor- estation at the cemetery. After some discussion, the council deeid- ed to give the trees to any person who would remove them for wood. A representative from, the Col- borne Township Municipal Tele- phone system requested that the trees along the 6th Concession of Colborne be removed, to enable them to build a new line in the spring.
