New Years. Resolutions
-Well-,-heree are andthere yoli
are, and here is the column. An-
other Net year and with it an-
other new school term has arrived
—and •the ,usual fervent resolu-
tions, not just a few of which are
concerned with school. Heading
the list is an old favorite, that re-
solution to do homework faithfully
and study regularly, Another old-
• timer is that to get to school on
time ALL the time, and that re-
solution to break the gum -chewing
• habit (in school at least) seems to
be around again this ,year also.
Now, deep in the second week of
the tenni already some have fallen
by the wayside. But a word of
encouragement to those still re-
• solute in their resolutions.

tast-moving games. And last Fri-
dy evening, Sfrattat—Ciillegiate

visited Goderich to play exhibition
games. The anal score in the
senior tilt was 2645 and in the
junior, 32-23, both in Stratford's
favor.
Girls' Basketball
Both the junier-'' and senior
teams will be playing an exhibition
game here today, after school,
against an old rival, Clinton. The
girls' junior team for the first time
in a number of years will be active-
ly participating in the league.
Big 20 Club Dance •
The Big 20 Club got off to a
splendid start with the sponsorship
of its first dance, held Friday
night. A good crowd was present.
The introduction of something en-
tirely different inthe vtray of novel-
ty dances, and the presence of our
Stratford guests adderti much to
the evening. .„
"Twirp Season"
