No. 1 Air Radio Officers' School
would be transferred this month'
from RCAF Station, Clinton, to
Winnipeg.
Six flight -cadets who received
their wings Friday from Air Com-
modore W. W. Brown, chief staff
officer, Trenton, represented the
last AROS class to be graduated.
The • radio officers course,
coupled with navigator instruction,
was set up in 1945. Two years
later, the courses were separated
and in May, 1951, AROS was estab-
lished as, a separate unit with its
own instructors, acconimodation,
equipment'' and aircraft. -

There are 66 W.A.,. groups in
Huron • Presbytery, and, discussion
was held on how to interest those
not ,affiliated, and the necessity of
personal contact. The suggestion
was made that each member of the
executive be " responsible for visit-
ing a number of W.A.'s, preferably
those nearest: The' executive .felt
that 'hest results are achieved by
personal interest and enthusiasm.
Several societies that were mem-
bers last year have not yet paid
this year's affiliation fees.
Tentative plans were made -tor
the holding of the autumn semi-
annual rally at Centralia in Nov-
ember. Mrs. Washington spoke
of the second annual Meeting of
London Conference Woman's As-
sociation'of the United Church to
be held in Dundas Street ,.Church,
Woodstock, September 28, and
urged the -executive -to -bring iiaticb°
of this meeting to their respective
societies, so that as many as pos-
sible will attend.
Mrs. Argyle had copies of some
of the literature available to W.
A.'s, and a list of other books .and
articles to be procured from her,
and stressed the 'value to societies
of this literature for use in pro-
grams and devotional work. '
