J. A. McGREGOR
The death occurred on Wednes-
day of last week at Toronto Gen-
eral Hospital of James A. McGreg-
or, 72, an employee of Malvern
Construction Company in Toronto
for many years.
He was a brother of R. H. Mc-
Gregor, MP for York East. He
was born 'in Hamilton and lived
in 'Goderich for some years, mov-
ing to -Toronto in, 1927. .

Mrs. Emma Fisher, 80, who died
in Alexandra and Marine General
Hospital Saturday night, was the
former Emma Jewell, of. Benmill-
e-r, and had lived in Goderich and
g,borne townships. before coming
here 29 years ago.
She was a member of 'the Free
Methodist Church.
Surviving besides her husband,
Joseph Fisher, is pne sister, Mrs.
David Warrener, Goderich Town-
ship.

passed away in October, 1947.

Lennan of Ashfield, Lorne was
born and brought up in that town-
ship. He married Margaret Mac-
Donald of the Ashfield north
boundary and most of their mar-
ried life was spent in Detroit,
Some years ago they took
up residence in Lucknow, where
Lorne conducted a- feed business,
and it was during this. period that
his wife passed aWay. ! Surviving
are a daughter, Mrs. Marvin Jack-
son (Katherine), of Roseville,
Mich., a son, Kenneth, of Detroit;
four sisters, Mrs. Raymond L.
White, .of , Chicago; Mrs. Robert
Scott, of Huntington Woods, Mich.;
Mrs. Frank Hamilton, of Ashfield;
Mrs. Roy Mackenzie, of Ripley; and
one brother, John MacLennan, on
the home farm in Ashfield.
The funeral service was held at
the Johnstone funeral home, Luck -
now, on Monday afternoon, August
30, the Rev. G. A. Meiklejohn of- !
ficiating. Interment was in the
Lochalsh cemetery, the pallbear-
ers being Robert Hamilton, Frank
Hamilton, Roy Mackenzie, M. L.
Sanderson, Wm. A. Hamilton and
Dr. R. L. White.

died at her home in -Cleveland

and was taken to her home., She
was well known in the Kingsbridge
area, and had att'ended the 50th
anniversary celebration of St.
Joseph's Church last summer.
Mis. Beaumont was

member of the governing board of
the Catherine Horstmann Training
Home for Girls and was active in
many Catholic organizations in
She was the widow of George
II Beaumont, for many years con-
nected with the Sterling Spring
Company. He died in 1932. She
was a %ember of St. Ann's Cath-
olic Church.
The only surviving member of
her family .iS a daughter, Miss
Helen M. Beaumont, guidance and
placement counselor at John Hay
High School in Cleveland. •
Funeral service was held on
Wednesday of last week in Cleve-
land. Burial took place
