McTAGGART REUNION
The MeTaggart reunion was held
at Seaforth Park recently with an
attendance of 60. Guests were
presents from Landon, Delaware,
-Br-ussels, -Listowel, Detreit;
Owen Sound, Moncrieff and Guelph.
A picnic dinner was served and
after the signing of the register a
meeting was called to order by the

facts on the ,background of• the
formation of the Prayer Book. An
accordian solo, was played by Mrs.
G. R. Taylor. �' A reading, "The
Grannies of Today," was given by
Mrs. D. Errington, of Dungannon,
Mrs. Kirkconnell thanked all who
had helped with the program. The
president, Mrs. A. Nesbit, presided

PORTER'S HILL, July 28: The
July meeting of, the W.A. of Grace
'Church was heldat the home of
Mrs. Austin Harris. The president
Mrs. McCowan, was in . charge of
the meeting. Mrs. Les Cox led in
prayer after which the Scripture
lesson was read by Mrs. Gordon
Manning. The afternoon was spent
in quilting. Lunch was served b
the hostess. The August meeting
will be held at the home of Mrs.
Donald Hands. •
Club. MIeetie--The Porter's Hill
Community Club held its monthly'
meeting at the home of Mrs. George

Pete Harrison, opened- the meet-
ing. The pregain consisted, of

of Grace C arch held its 'annual
picnic last Tuesday evening on the
lawn at the home of Mr. and Mrs.

There was a peanut 'scramble, and

Total net general expenditure of
Canada's 10 provincial governments
increased 40 per cent from $876,-
000,000 in 1949 to $1,233,000,000 in
1952. These figures do not inclose

enjoying a three-week visit with
Mr. and Mrs. Tait Clark and family.
Bill Bannister, from near Lon-
don, visited two weeks with his
uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Joe
Freeman, and family.
Mr. and Mrs. William Stoddart,•
Kenny and David, of Lion's Head,
visited the latter's sister, Mrs. An-
drew ' Bogie, and. Mr. Bogie. Miss
Mary Stoddart, who had visited for
a week, returned home with her
parents.

visited recently with her nephew,
Harvey Fisher, and Mrs. Fisher and

W.M.S. Meets. -Miss Grace Hunt-
er was hostess at her cottage for
the June meeting of the Leeburn

Clark and prayer by Mrs. Red
Bogie. The final :chapter, of the
study ,book was read by Mrs. Tait
Clark. The bale for Grenfell, Lab-
rador had been sent away . and. a
dozen washeloblis were sent to Miss
Josie Suiinders, Goderich, for a
bale to he sent to Lamont, Alta.
Lunch was served by -the hostess,
assisted by Mrs. Les Riley, Gode-
rich. Mrs. Lock Cook was hoss
