fishermen at Goderieh, harbor's
north pier last Thursday.
According to three officials
of the Department of Lands
and Forests Wildlife Division,
Brant geese are rare in this
area at this time of year. Their
usual home is in Canada's
north and they are seldom seen
this far south so late in the
spring:
Inspector E. R. Meadows, of
the Lands and Forests district
office in Galt, along with Roy
Bellinger of the Clinton office
and Charles Horton of the
Hespeler office said they had
also seen some Brant geese in
the Grand Bend area, earlier
last week.
