over the Maitland River at Saltford
Sunday night.
Taken to hospital suffering an
injured arm • and shock was- Mrs.
May Evers, of Sarnia. She was a
passenger in a ear driven by her
son, William R. Evers, also of
Sarnia, which collided with a car
driven by Gary L. Leeson, of Tor-
onto, town police said. \
Leeson was proceeding north
and Evers was going south -when
the collision oecurred. Each car
sustained about $250 damage to the
front left, Side.

Mrs. Fred Toll gave two short read-
ings. A one -act play, "The Gos-
sips," was presented by the young
people of Summerhill 'arid was Well
received. Ay trio was given by
Ruth Millian, Marlyn Easom and
June Leatherland, Acrobatic stunts
were performed by the pupils of
S.S. No. 9, Hullett, with their teach-
er, Carl Mills. A harmonica selec-,
tion was given by Mrs. Everett
Taylor, and 'Mrs. Thofnas Haggitt
gave a- reading. Mrs. Taylor and
Miss Marion favored with another
duet. A soft shoe'dance was given
by Mrs. Larry Glasgow. W. L.
Craig, secretary of the Centennial
Connittee, gave a short talk on'
the Centennial which is to be held
July 30, 31 and August 1, and asked'
for the co-operation of everyone.
The program, was brought to a
close by a humorous "sblo by Mrs.
William Haggitt, with guitar and
piano accompaniment by. Miss.
DonnaHaggitt and Mrs. R. J. Phil-
lips. Mrs. Bradnock thanked every-
one who had taken part in the
program. Accompanists were Mrs.
R. J. Phillips, Mrs. Gordon Mc-
Clinchey •and Mrs. Harry Worsen.
The ushers were Mrs. W. T. Robi-
Alld Nis, William Straughan.
Everything was in keeping With St.
Patrick's Day. Refreshments were
served to the artists following the
program.
Mission Band. — The regular
Monthly meeting of the "Ida
White" Mission Band of Knox
Presbyterian Church was held Sat-
urday afternoon with 25 members
present. Kenny Haggitt presided.
The MiSsion Band pledge was re-
peated followed by Scripture read-
ings by Bill Andrews, Betty Yung-
blut, Kenny Haggitt, Kathleen An-
drews, Helen Yungblut and Marilyn
Daer. The offering, was received
by Gerald Dobie, followed ,by.,pray-
er by Margaret Haines. 'Several
hymns were' sung;
Mrs. W. L. Craig, who underwent
an operation in Gnderich; hospital,
returned home Monday.
Form Group.—The young people
of St. Mark's Anglican Church re-
cently organized an A.Y.P.A. The
following °facers were. chosen:
President, Frank Nesbit; vice-
president, Mary Clark; secretary -
treasurer, Reta Glasgow. The first,
meeting was held on Friday even-
ing,'March 19 at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Larry 'Glasgow. The
president was linable to be present
so Miss Mary Clark presided. The
devotional period Was conducted
by Reta Glasgow; After the open-
ing hymn the Scripture was read
by Reta Brown, and 'prayers were
offered by Rev. W. E. Bramwell.
