HOLMESVILLE
HHOLMESVILLE, Oct. 28. — Mr.
and Mrs. Leslie Jervis recently en-
tertained the members of the "500
Club" at a party Honoring Mel
Gliddon; of Goderich. Cards were
enjoyed, the winners being Charles
Wilson and Mrs. M. Ellicott, of
Pickering, and low score prizes
went to Manson Ellicott, of Picker-
ing, and Mrs. Proctor Palmer. Mr,
Charles Wilson presented Mr.

sleeves. She wore a floor -length
embroidered veil with Mary Queen
of Scots headdress caught with
lovers' bows, and carried a cascade
bouquet of American Beauty roses.
Mrs. Nelson McClure, of Sea -
forth, _ sister of the bride, was
matron of honor. wearing a gown
of heavenly blue nylon net over
taffeta with fitted jacket of chantil-
ly lace, triauned with sequins. Her
headdress was of blue nylon net
and pearls and she carrieda bou-
quet of pink roses. Sharon Ball,
of Auburn, niece of the bride, was
flower girl, wearing a long dress
of pink nylon over satin with Iwo
effect. Her headdress was of pin
net and flowers and she carried a
nosegay of blue carnations and
ferns.
Ray McNall, of Blyth, was best
man. Ushers were John Sander-
son, of Blyth, brother-in-law of the
bride, and Lloyd Glousher, of
Blyth, brother of the groom.
Miss Christine Cunningham, of
Auburn, cousin Qf the bride, was
organist, and Mrs. Willis Van Eg-
mond, of Clinton, was soloist.

MRS. LILLIAN ASHTON
The death occurred in Victoria
Hospital, London, early Sunday
morning of, Mrs. Lillian Ashton,
